The Potential of Open Learner Models in Adaptive Virtual Learning Environments

This paper presents the initial design of an Open Learner Model for an Adaptive Virtual Learning Environment (SAVEMA, The Spanish acronyms of Adaptive Educational Virtual System with Open Model), with the aim of helping learners to reflect on their knowledge, and to support their self-directed use of a Virtual Learning Environment.
